The prompt for today was: when was the last time you threw a coin in a fountain and if you made a wish, did it come true?
I can’t remember the last time I did this. Perhaps because I feel sorry for the fish and other creatures who often seem to be in the fountains. The only place I haven’t encountered this is the local zoo.
I find it to be more effective to just wish in general. The Universe, the Greater Being, whatever one may believe in, hears it and often works out in very different ways than planned. Yet I also heed Joel Osteen’s advice that the more you ask, the more it is like grating and not being grateful for whatever you may already have. Some things and people you cannot and never will be able to change. Then it is time to accept and move on.
As the saying goes: be careful what you wish for.
