Book Review: “The Postcard” by Tony Abbott

I found this in the audio books section of the library. I’m trying to balance a strong and struggling reader and audio books are an awesome compromise.

After we finished it, I’m actually surprised I haven’t heard more about this book.

This book is awesome.

I can’t remember the last time I “read” a book and was actually interested to know what happens next. Due to the fact I had it on audio, it had to wait until the next car trip. A few times we were sitting in the car waiting to finish a chapter.

It’s a mystery, coming of age, historical fiction, and romance story all rolled into one. The characters and backgrounds are completely believable and you can picture everything happening as the story proceeds.

Kudos to Mr. Abbott on an awesome book!

The book is geared for the tween and teen age group, but a six year-old family member really enjoyed listening along and actually told a few people about the book.
